About The Position

The Summit Health Social Media intern supports the marketing and clinical operations team by managing, creating, and scheduling content across platforms like Instagram, Facebook and TikTok — with a goal of increased patient engagement and attracting new patients to the Summit Health practice. Key responsibilities of this intern will include building and maintaining a regular social media schedule for the Plastic Surgery and Dermatology department social pages, planning and capturing video content at our medical offices and crafting a series of weekly posts to boost brand awareness and engagement metrics for these pages. Ideal candidates are creative, detail-oriented students proficient in social media trends and tools like Canva. We ideally need this candidate to be available a minimum of 12-14 hours per week, with one day spend filming/creating video content for the department social pages via iphone or other smartphone device.

Requirements

Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communication, Advertising or a related field.
Familiarity with major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud) and scheduling tools (e.g., Meta, Hootsuite) is a plus.
Highly organized, proactive, and creative.

Responsibilities

Content Creation & Scheduling: Developing and posting creative content (videos, graphics, captions) according to a content calendar.
Social Engagement: Responding to comments/DMs, and engaging with followers to increase brand presence.
Strategy & Analytics: Assisting in brainstorming campaign ideas and analyzing engagement metrics to report on performance.
Trend Research: Staying up-to-date with current industry trends and social media best practices.
