About The Position

The Social Media Intern will support the Social Media and Digital Marketing team in creating and analyzing engaging content across ALO’s social platforms. This role is ideal for a creative, digitally savvy student who is passionate about social media trends, wellness culture, and storytelling through visual content. The intern will contribute to real campaigns, influencer collaborations, and daily social media operations. The ALO internship programs starts June 8th and ends July 31st. Interns will be working 40 hours a week at our Beverly Hills HQ.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of social platforms, particularly Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok
  • Has a pulse on fashion’s social media presence and best practices
  • Passion for wellness, fitness, fashion, and digital culture
  • Basic experience with content creation such as video editing, caption writing, or graphic design
  • Familiarity with tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Experience managing or growing a business or brand social media account
  • Knowledge of short-form video trends and editing styles
  • Understanding of social media business account settings and creative parameters
  • Interest in creator marketing and influencer partnerships
  • Understanding of social analytics tools or platform insights

Responsibilities

  • Support content creation including captions, short-form video concepts, and community-focused posts
  • Monitor social media trends, viral formats, and emerging creators, particularly on TikTok
  • Help manage projects and deadlines
  • Assist with influencer and creator outreach, including identifying relevant partners and compiling contact lists
  • Track and report on social performance metrics such as engagement, reach, and follower growth
  • Participate in campaign brainstorming sessions for seasonal launches and product drops
  • Support community management by monitoring comments, messages, and brand mentions
  • Conduct competitive and trend research within fashion, fitness, and wellness social media
