About The Position

Are you ready to help build a brand’s social presence from the ground up? The Social Strategy Intern will play a meaningful role in developing and shaping the social media strategies for Pur Luv and VetIQ.   This role goes beyond execution — you’ll conduct research, uncover insights, and help define the strategic direction for two growing brands. From establishing foundational social frameworks to planning content and bringing creative concepts to life, you’ll gain hands-on experience in building a social ecosystem from zero to measurable impact.   If you’re naturally curious, strategically minded, and energized by turning insights into action, this is an opportunity to make real contributions while accelerating your growth in social strategy.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in social media, digital marketing, and brand storytelling.
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) and content trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather insights and make data-informed recommendations.
  • Creative thinker with an eye for engaging visuals and content ideas.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable collaborating with internal teams and external creators.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience creating content or managing social media accounts for a brand, organization, or personal project.
  • Familiarity with social media apps, tools and performance tracking (e.g., Sprout Social, HypeAuditor, TikTok Studio, etc.).
  • Understanding of social media trends, viral content, and community engagement strategies.
  • Basic graphic design or video editing skills (e.g., Canva, CapCut).
  • Experience collaborating with influencers, creators, or user-generated content campaigns.
  • Passion for pets, animal health, or related industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead competitive audits, trend analysis, and audience research to uncover white space, positioning opportunities, and platform-specific growth strategies.
  • Conduct comprehensive brand deep dives to identify strengths, gaps, and creative opportunities across social channels.
  • Help define and document each brand’s social strategy, including positioning, tone of voice, content pillars, posting cadence, and channel roles.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for community building, user-generated content, influencer collaborations, and brand partnerships.
  • Develop platform-specific strategic recommendations (TikTok, Instagram, etc.), aligned to business objectives and target audiences.
  • Collaborate with UGC creators and influencers to support early-stage campaign ideation and execution.
  • Assist in building content calendars, ensuring alignment with brand priorities and seasonal initiatives.
  • Establish foundational KPIs, tracking frameworks, and reporting processes to measure engagement, growth, and performance impact.
