The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is one of the largest, most complex agencies in the state, and has approximately 17,000 employees. It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence. The primary purpose of this position is to provide evaluation and social-emotional therapy services to children and families referred to the NC Infant Toddler Program. The LCSW assists in determining eligibility for the NCITP and serves as a member of the IFSP team, contributing to the development of the child and family’s service plan. Additional duties include consultation with staff and the possible provision of treatment services. Services must be provided in compliance with Federal and State regulations for the Infant Toddler Program.
