Requirements

Masters Degree in Social Work required.
NC LCSW, OR LCSW Provisional license preferred.
Must obtain provisional license after hire.
At least 1 year experience in social work and knowledge of end-of-life issues/medical social work preferred.
Reliable transportation and valid NC Drivers license required.

Some travel locally will be required, generally within a 10-mile radius.
This position does count toward clinical hours for a LCSW license.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Will be providing social work services in our Outpatient Palliative Care.
Responsible for provision of social work services to include explanation of palliative care services, crisis intervention, resource referral and emotional support and/or counseling to patients and families as needed.
Lead support groups.
Ability to work in coordination with other disciplines at part of team to address chronic illness and end-of-life needs.
