This internship is designed to provide you with a positive work/training experience and challenging objectives. As a Software Developer Intern for Life Safety Fire Detection Applications, you’ll be part of our diverse global team making a significant impact on our organization. You will use your analytical thinking skills combined with your experience in applying design patterns and best practices, structured and disciplined development processes and engineering principles to developing robust, scalable and maintainable solutions that are user friendly and support business priorities. Our fire detection products are embedded in restaurants and buildings you visit every day. You will analyze, design, program, debug, modify, test and implement software used in local, networked, cloud-based or Internet-related applications for Fire Alarm Systems. How you will do it: This will be a full-time Summer 2026 internship running from May to August Hybrid position – at least 3 days a week in the Westford, MA office Tasked with a specific project on Fire Detection Software Applications Assist with Software Development using Windows tools (e.g. Visual Studio, Net, C/C++, JavaScript, etc.) Participate in the Future Leaders Internship Programming events that include but are not limited to professional development sessions, 4-week Innovation Challenge and special events What we look for Required Qualifications: Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering/Design U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrates an ability to learn quickly and independently Strong communication skills (verbal and written) preferred Demonstrated problem solving skills required Excited to work on the best Life Safety Fire Detection Products in the world! HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $19.00 - $24.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.) Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university
  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering/Design
  • U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities
