About The Position

Go Jane Go is an invite-only, digital community of female professional business travelers. The Go Jane Go software platform is a webapp that allows community members to register, engage in conversation, and share ideas. The platform consists of a Nest.js backend and a React single-page-app frontend, deployed on AWS using API Gateway and AWS Lambda. The platform is currently in the alpha/beta stage, publicly available for test users, and features user application, administrative user-registration review, and automated account billing. Future development will likely include features such as friending, asynchronous messaging, notifications, and gated access to community-specific content.

Requirements

• Experience developing and maintaining production web applications.
• Proficiency with AWS technologies including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and SNS.
• Experience with MySQL administration and integration with web applications.
• Ability to build and scale web applications with user management features.
• Strong interpersonal skills for team collaboration.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Typescript and Jest for testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes using Github actions.
• Knowledge of Stripe and ActiveCampaign integrations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Go Jane Go web application.
• Implement unit and integration testing for software development.
• Design and deliver backend APIs to support frontend feature development.
• Manage user authentication, authorization, and role-based access.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to enhance the platform.
