About the job The Data Management team is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (Emerging Career) to develop and support robust quality engineering solutions. Your work empowers our team to continuously deliver enterprise grade software to production by engineering quality into our continuous delivery pipeline. Our group is responsible for developing SAS Studio, which is a web-based product to analyze and provide insights into your data. You will work with the latest languages, technologies, and tools to ensure we deliver the highest quality product.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related quantitative field
  • Familiarity with multiple programming languages and proficiency in at least one (Python is preferred but not required)
  • Familiar in state-of-the-art techniques, standards, and procedures for software test development
  • Demonstrated ability to author, maintain and execute tests as part of a test automation framework
  • Ability to understand the role of development, migration, security, and performance in the software development life cycle
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain high quality of test automation using modern development techniques and provide key data points to support metrics-based decision making
  • Apply automated tests at every layer of the application stack, both inside and outside of the continuous delivery pipeline
  • Produce and analyze metrics that illustrate the quality of our applications and develop insight that drives the direction of quality engineering
  • Work collaboratively with development, management, and support peers to encourage quality, as a key design element in all work efforts
  • Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals
