Job Title Software Development Engineer What does a successful Software Development Engineer do at Fiserv? A successful Software Development Engineer at Fiserv will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of software development experience (or 6+ years of an equivalent combination of education, related experience, and/or military experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in both programming in Java, C, C#, C++, or similar languages and RDBMS and NoSQL databases and with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, and working in Agile methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or 6+ years of an equivalent combination of education, related experience, and/or military experience).

Responsibilities

  • Lead detailed QA testing for complex software products, ensuring reliable performance and release readiness.
  • Define and execute test strategies, plans, and coverage (manual and automated as applicable) aligned to requirements.
  • Identify, document, and track defects through resolution, including verification of fixes and regression testing.
  • Partner with development and product teams to strengthen quality practices and drive continuous improvement across the QA process.
  • Mentor junior QA team members and promote adherence to QA best practices; responsibilities may evolve based on business needs.
