About The Position

As the Software Development Manager at LCPtracker, you will oversee the design and development of software applications. You will manage team members, comprising of both internal and outsourced engineers and testers, ensuring adherence to best practices in software development. This role will be outcome-focused, being a servant leader to ensure the successful delivery of features.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of experience working on SaaS products.
  • 8+ years of programming experience with at least one Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) language.
  • 3+ years of experience leading multiple engineering teams.
  • Proficient in business writing and composition, with a strong command of the English language.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills, capable of effectively prioritizing and organizing workload.
  • Experience working in Scrum teams with a deep understanding of Agile methodology.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in managing outsourced engineers is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies is a plus.
  • Scrum certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple teams of Software Engineers and testers.
  • Own the engineering vision of your teams, contributing to the overall product vision.
  • Collaborate with other managers and software architects to define the technology roadmap.
  • Promote coding standards, code reviews and best practices with a focus on quality, maintainability, and security.
  • Drive a hardworking and well-balanced team culture.
  • Coach engineers and help them achieve professional career goals.
  • Perform other work including specific tasks or special projects as required.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and use discretion when needed.
