The Vision Products Group (VPG) introduced Apple Vision Pro and visionOS to the world, setting a new standard for AR/VR platforms, and is now looking for a creative Software Engineer to help deliver world class content.
Responsibilities
- Develop system level frameworks enabling user experiences in collaboration with creative teams across Apple and VPG.
- Work quickly and smartly to help determine the viability of ideas and technologies.
- Write C++ code and debug Swift.
- Troubleshoot rendering artifacts.
- Automate processes to increase team’s velocity.
Requirements
- At least 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Expert programming skills and knowledge of C++.
- Advanced in mathematics for 3D realtime applications (linear algebra).
- Demonstrated initiative in recognizing process bottlenecks and developing solutions.
- Demonstrated experience working across multiple distinct components or layers of a software system.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Seasoned experience delivering high quality software to end users.
- BS/MS in Computer Science OR equivalent degree OR equivalent experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of Python, Java, comfortable learning new languages.
- Seasoned experience with macOS and Unix.
- Experience working with containers, docker, VMs.
- Experience with observability (tracing, metrics).
