We are looking for an experienced software engineer who improves artificial intelligence tools and practices across the software development lifecycle. Partners with internal stakeholders to determine customer/user requirements for scenarios. Leads discussions for architecture of complex products ensuring test strategies for solution quality. Identifies dependencies and produces extensible code across teams. Leads debugging efforts and application of coding patterns to improve code quality. Develops automation for production deployment targeting zero-touch when possible. Ensures visibility for compliance through audit trails and maintains understanding of regulations. Advocates new trends to adapt them to current problems and shares knowledge with peers. Supports collaboration with partner teams, ensuring proper integration before going live. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Responsibilities

  • You will partner with stakeholders to determine user requirements for a feature and consider a variety of feedback channels to incorporate insights into future designs or solution fixes.
  • You will collaborate with others to create a clear and articulated plan for testing, assuring quality of solutions, while applying knowledge of debugging tools, logs, telemetry, and other methods to proactively flag issues.
  • You will learn about customer scaling requirements and the application of best practices for meeting scaling needs and performance expectations, while ensuring the correct processes are followed to achieve a high degree of security, privacy, safety, and accessibility.
  • You will look for opportunities to raise the security bar as you apply Microsoft’s security policies and best practices.
  • You will drive efforts to integrate instrumentation for gathering telemetry data on system behavior such as performance, reliability, availability, usage, and safety mechanisms. Drives sustaining feedback loops from telemetry resulting in subsequent designs. Creates outputs of telemetry such as notifications or dashboards.
  • You will learn about and contribute to operations of live service as issues arise on a rotational, on-call basis and identify solutions and mitigations to simple issues impacting performance or functionality of Live Site services and escalates as necessary.
