About The Position

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level. As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Commercial and Investment Bank organization, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Proficient hands-on coding experience in Java and key frameworks including Spring stack (spring boot, spring core, etc), and RESTful API development
  • Demonstrated experience with Hibernate, RESTful, Oracle, Maven, Jenkins, GIT, mockito, jmockit,
  • Demonstrated knowledge of patterns including side car, circuit breaker, traffic shifting, ingress, and egress
  • Experience building cloud native applications leveraging Domain driven design and micro-services architecture principles, identifying bounded contexts and service interactions – (asynchronous eventing and RESTful APIs)
  • Collaborate to design solutions including activity flows, and logical data models
  • Experience with building fully automated CI / CD pipelines, support software solutions that are customer focused & highly secure and deployed on a Private Cloud Kubernetes platform
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with GraphQL, ElasticSearch, S3, Docker, Kubernetes, Cucumber, Shell Scripts
  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies - React
  • Understanding of Oracle or other SQL databases

Responsibilities

  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Builds cloud native applications leveraging Domain driven design and micro-services architecture principles, identifying bounded contexts and service interactions – (asynchronous eventing and RESTful APIs)
  • Collaborates to design solutions including activity flows, and logical data models
  • Builds fully automated CI / CD pipelines, support software solutions that are customer focused & highly secure and deployed on a Private Cloud Kubernetes platform
  • Writes maintainable & testable code that is consistent with micro-service architecture principles
  • Works with partner technology teams to ensure successful integration
  • Provides overall delivery of software components working in collaboration with product and design teams
  • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
  • Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
