Dataproc is a fast, easy-to-use, fully managed cloud service for running Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop and dozens of other Operational Support Systems (OSS) softwares in a simpler, performant and cost-efficient way. Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience programming in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Go, C++), or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
2 years of experience with architecture and development of distributed systems.
Experience building infrastructure in Google Cloud or other Cloud providers.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Experience in developing Cloud or SaaS products.
Experience with data science tools such as Jupyter notebooks.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) security (network security, service accounts, Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, etc.).
Experience as a committer or contributing to open-source Apache projects (Hadoop, Spark, Yarn, Flink, etc.).

Responsibilities

Write and test product or system development code.
Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues.
