About the position

Medpace, Inc. has multiple openings for the Software Engineer III position in Cincinnati, OH. Medpace is a full-service clinical contract research organization (CRO) that provides Phase I-IV clinical development services to the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries. Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and document user requirements
  • Design, develop, modify, support, and install computer software, with a focus on self-directed project delivery
  • Obtain technical skills and industry training
  • Lead software development projects (project lead)
  • Direct coordination & liaison with non-technical business owners
  • Train & mentor other Software Engineers, Validation Engineers, and end users
  • Remote work may be allowed approximately 40% of the time

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or closely related field (foreign equivalent degree accepted)
  • 4 years of progressive post-bachelor's degree experience as a Software Engineer or closely related
  • 4 years of experience in developing web-based applications and associated technologies including C#, Angular or similar JavaScript framework, HTML5, CSS3, SQL, GitHub
  • 4 years of experience in database design and development such as SQL Server
  • 4 years of experience in leading development of highly complex computer software
  • 4 years of experience in utilizing Object Oriented analysis, n-tier architectures, client-driven programming, and test-driven development
  • 4 years of experience in software release management, code promotion and related software development life cycle (SDLC) experience
  • 1 year of experience in Microsoft Azure technologies to support microservice architecture such as Azure SQL database or Azure App Containerization and hosting
  • 1 year of experience in Entity Framework or similar data abstraction layer framework
