About The Position

We are looking for a qualified Software Engineering Intern to join our dynamic software development team in Tucson, Arizona. The duties performed in this position include developing user interface screens for the EAGLE toolset, creating RESTful API endpoints, and translating user requirements into new software solutions. The employee will work with customers and team members to troubleshoot and solve problems, develop new features and capabilities, and automate business processes. Occasionally the employee will assist with system documentation, legacy data conversion, and testing. As an intern you will gain valuable, real-world experience designing and developing commercial software that is used all over the world! This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their Junior, Senior, or Post Graduate standing level by the start of Summer 2025 as outlined below. (Junior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and classified as a Junior by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment (Senior Technical Intern)- must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and classified as a Senior by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment (Post-Graduate Technical Intern) - must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a BS (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • Experience developing web applications
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, C++, or C#
  • Experience with relational database management systems
  • Knowledge of design patterns, data structures and algorithms
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery and web page development frameworks
  • Experience with ASP.NET(Core) and Entity Framework
  • Experience with API development and RESTful services
  • AGILE Software Development Experience
