About The Position

Good Inside is seeking a Mobile Engineer to join our Engagement Pod. In this role, you will be dealing closely with our Machine Learning team to introduce new and personalized experiences that strengthen a user’s daily habitual engagement. You bring deep technical expertise in mobile engineering, a strong eye for detail, and a commitment to pixel-perfect design, enabling us to deliver a best-in-class app experience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, including product, design, backend, and machine learning teams, to build high-quality features that serve our users’ needs. Your ability to blend technical excellence with thoughtful design and seamless execution will be essential as we continue to evolve and elevate the Good Inside mobile experience. This role follows a hybrid schedule, with three in-office days each week at our Manhattan location.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in native mobile development
A deep understanding of modern mobile development for both Android and iOS
Proficiency and active experience in backend development in any form
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong collaboration abilities and cross-functional relationship-building
Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to stay organized and deliver results in a fast-paced, changing environment
Passion for Good Inside’s mission and excitement about improving the lives of parents and children

Nice To Haves

Preferred but not required: 2 to 3 years of experience in Flutter and Dart.io
Start Up Growth Experience: This isn’t your first time helping a high growth startup scale. You are excited by the challenge and love creating and learning from the bottom up.
User-Facing Mobile App Experience: You have worked on businesses where the end product is an app and have experience driving app user acquisition.

Responsibilities

The design, development, and maintenance of our Flutter-based mobile application
Collaborate as needed with backend, ML, and other mobile engineers, as well as Product Managers
Develop clean, maintainable, and well-documented code aligned with the defined project scope.
Provide clear documentation of architectural decisions, implementation details, and handoff materials upon project completion.
Provide input on feature scope and sequencing to support timely and successful delivery of the defined project deliverables.
