About The Position

This role provides an exciting opportunity to join a Platform Engineering team focused on deployment orchestration and automation. You will help build and maintain robust, secure, and scalable internal deployment tools that empower engineering teams to release software frequently without compromising stability or security. The position combines hands-on development with operational responsibilities, including pipeline management, system monitoring, and troubleshooting. You will work with cloud-native technologies across multiple compute environments, contributing to a high-performing, collaborative team. Ideal candidates thrive in a remote-first, fast-paced environment, enjoy problem-solving, and take ownership of improving deployment systems and processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer on a platform engineering team
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Java, Python, Bash, Terraform, or YAML
  • Experience with Kubernetes GitOps deployments, including Argo CD, Argo Rollouts, and Argo Workflows
  • Expertise developing in AWS cloud environments, including EC2, EKS, ASG, Aurora, and IAM
  • Familiarity with SaaS and open-source observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana
  • Experience with asynchronous development workflows using GitHub, Jira, Slack, and Zoom

Nice To Haves

  • experience with CI/CD tools like Harness, Buildkite, or Terraform Cloud, and leveraging AI platforms to accelerate development

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and deploy code and configurations for internal deployment infrastructure
  • Operationalize deployment orchestration tools and standardize pipeline templates across environments
  • Support product engineering teams with migration, debugging, and troubleshooting of deployment pipelines
  • Maintain and enhance system uptime through participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation
  • Write technical documentation, runbooks, and internal product guides for engineering teams
  • Consolidate, modernize, and maintain deployment solutions across multiple compute targets such as cloud VMs and Kubernetes clusters
  • Collaborate with team members to improve tooling efficiency, reliability, and automation processes
