About the position

As a Developer, you will be enhancing and maintaining an enterprise Cleared Derivatives back-office system. This role emphasizes front-end development using ReactJS and centers on crafting responsive, user-friendly front-end interfaces using ReactJS, with additional responsibilities in back-end development using Java. You will work with a modern technology stack and deploy applications on Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

  • Working in a project team alongside other developers to design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-performance front-end interfaces using ReactJS.
  • Build reusable components, manage state and optimize UI performance.
  • Upgrade and keep the UI codebase library dependencies current.
  • Contribute to back-end development using Java, focusing on integrating UI components with back-end services.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, back-end developers, and stakeholders to deliver intuitive user experiences.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipeline maintenance.
  • Stay updated on front-end trends and best practices.
  • Deploy and monitor applications in Kubernetes clusters, ensuring seamless operation.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience in front-end development with ReactJS.
  • 3+ years of experience within a financial institution, preferably in FCM (Futures Commission Merchant) or Broker-Dealer environments.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Expertise in ReactJS, including hooks, state management and component-based architecture.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, CSS3, and responsive design.
  • Experience with front-end build tools and testing frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of Java.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to UI/UX details.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Apache Solr for search and indexing.
  • Familiarity with Apache Kafka for event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with MongoDB or AWS DocumentDB for data querying and management.
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools.
