About The Position

Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Software Engineer – Sr. Consultant level (multiple openings) in Austin, Texas to: Architect, design, build, develop, test, and/or implement software systems and applications and provide technical leadership to the team. Conduct business and technical analysis, code reviews and unit testing, and implement and produce technical documentation of solutions for new development, system enhancements, and production support. Design, develop, and implement modifications and corrections to existing software, including the development of debugging routines. Architect, build, and maintain large SharePoint server farms, designed to meet both business and technical requirements (high availability, disaster recovery, WAN optimization, load balancing, at rest encryption, BLOB offloading, SSL, and Kerberos, etc.). Serve as a technical lead for SharePoint Online and OneDrive for business within SharePoint Online. Build and deploy Visa branded database solutions on the SharePoint platforms. Resolve escalations and issues for SharePoint platforms, Office 365 (SharePoint Online & OneDrive), and other collaboration platforms. Troubleshoot issues with OneDrive and sync clients. Serve as technical lead for collaboration technologies projects. Open, manage, and resolve database and software incidents with Microsoft and/or other vendors when incidents arise. Troubleshoot extremely complex technical incidents with multiple larger SharePoint farms. Maintain SharePoint environments through command line tools and PowerShell, using the ability to write complex PowerShell scripts for farm management and automation. Proactively monitor system health and performance and automate routine tasks. Advise employees and developers of governance and policies around SharePoint. Work with developers and solutions teams to design database and software integrations with other corporate applications and tools. Position reports to the Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Requirements

  • Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field, followed by 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation.
