As a Software Engineer Sr within PNC’s C&IB organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. Provides detailed technical design and development of software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms. Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs. Writes code, tests and deploys software. Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software. Maintains and debugs software. • Certifications are often desired.
• In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support Java/Spring Boot microservices and RESTful APIs in a distributed architecture.
• Deliver solutions with full stack ownership, including backend services, databases, and runtime integration.
• Deploy and operate applications on Tomcat and OpenShift (containerized platforms).
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps delivery practices.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis across production and lower environments.
• Collaborate within Agile crews, participating in sprint ceremonies and partnering with product, QA, Run the Bank and DevOps teams.
• Support platform upgrades, performance improvements, and resiliency initiatives.
