As a Software Engineer Sr within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion. PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position. The Regulatory Risk and Compliance Reporting team in Business Technology and Innovation Group at PNC is dedicated to developing innovative technology solutions to support the Regulatory submissions of the Bank. Will be required to work on data intensive Applications that support business and regulatory reporting requirements. The role requires proficiency in designing and programming data intensive Applications on Oracle database.

Responsibilities

  • Provides detailed technical design and development of software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms.
  • Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs.
  • Writes code, tests and deploys software.
  • Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software.
  • Maintains and debugs software.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on development experience using any reporting tools which reads from very large data sets.
  • Expertise in database design and programming skills using SQL/PLSQL.
  • Intermediate level skills in data analysis and data modeling.
  • Knowledge and experience of data modeling and data warehouse concepts.
  • Working knowledge of software design patterns and architecture.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working in projects using waterfall or agile.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with OAS or Tableau.
  • Knowledge of Banking, Financial and US regulatory environment.
  • Application Development, Business Management, Customer Solutions, Design, Group Problem Solving, Process Improvements, Release Management, Software Solutions, User Experience (UX) Design.
