About The Position

This engineer will play a critical role in accelerating business value delivery for the Human Resources (HR) department through advanced integration engineering and AI-driven software development. This position focuses on leveraging AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot Studio, combined with Java Spring Boot integration frameworks and data hygiene best practices, to design and deliver solutions that are rapid to market and high ROI. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with HR professionals to identify pain points, define requirements, and design innovative solutions that streamline HR processes, enhance employee experience, and support strategic workforce initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proactive self-starter with strong communication skills and solid business acumen
  • Innovative, adaptable engineer with the ability to pivot quickly
  • 5–7 years of experience developing RESTful APIs
  • Proficient in Java and Spring Boot
  • Comfortable working with AI frameworks such as Copilot Studio and Azure Bot Framework, with enthusiasm for continued learning
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver business value quickly

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of ChatGPT, Google Agent Space, Amazon Bedrock Agents, and similar AI technologies
  • Experience supporting HR backend systems and familiarity with core HR processes
  • Exposure to platforms such as Workday, SAP, or PeopleSoft
  • Experience with Power Automate is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Utilize GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot Studio to accelerate coding, automate workflows, and reduce development cycles.
  • Develop low-code applications and integrations that enable HR teams to quickly adopt new capabilities without heavy technical overhead.
  • Implement AI-assisted coding practices to improve productivity and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Design and implement robust integrations using Java Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and secure data exchange protocols.
  • Build scalable, reusable integration components for HR systems (e.g., payroll, benefits, talent management platforms).
  • Ensure integrations comply with enterprise security, compliance, and data governance standards.
  • Apply data hygiene principles to maintain clean, accurate, and consistent HR data across systems.
  • Collaborate with data teams to enforce governance policies and optimize data pipelines for AI-driven insights.
  • Partner with HR stakeholders to identify high-impact opportunities for automation and AI enablement.
  • Translate HR business requirements into technical solutions that deliver measurable ROI and improve employee experience.
  • Participate in design workshops, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies to ensure rapid delivery and alignment with HR priorities.
  • Stay current with emerging AI development tools and integration technologies.
  • Advocate for best practices in AI-assisted development, low-code platforms, and DevSecOps principles.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of innovation and collaboration.
