Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Software Engineer to join our team! Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and extend core components of a modular platform framework, including frontend interfaces and backend services.
  • Build secure, scalable APIs and microservices that enable integration between data services, visualization tools, and external systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, DevOps engineers, and system integrators to ensure seamless interoperability.
  • Design and implement user interfaces and workflows for data exploration and interaction, working in modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue).
  • Leverage cloud-native architectures (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government) to deploy and scale services in secure, compliant environments.
  • Participate in agile development cycles, peer reviews, and system testing to ensure code quality and platform stability.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in full-stack software development or system-level software engineering.
  • Proficiency in backend languages like Python, Java, or Node.js, and frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, working with message queues, and integrating third-party services.
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially AWS or Azure, and modern deployment pipelines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with federal data security standards and DoD/DHS software compliance frameworks.
  • Experience integrating with data storage solutions (e.g., S3, RDS, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Exposure to DevSecOps workflows and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
  • Understanding of authorization/authentication standards (OAuth2, OpenID, SAML).
