About the position

Rite-Solutions, Inc is seeking a Software Developer to be part of a team charged with providing engineering and systems operations engineering in support of current and future Combat System (CS) Command and Control (C2) functions. Requirements would include NMCI and RDT&E assets and would be on-site at NSWC Dahlgren 5x per week. Together our team supports V Department with systems engineering, software engineering and fleet support, element evaluation and system test support and development/production environment support. V14 has a need for a software developer work on Web Application that will deploy Tactical as a Service (TaaS). We are looking for a candidate familiar with version control technologies such as Git, virtualization technologies such as VMware and vCenter, and popular development tools like VSCode.

Responsibilities

  • Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code, using best practices in web development.
  • Integrate data from back-end services and databases.
  • Debug, test, and fix errors and issues in web applications.
  • Maintain consistency when coding.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship and Active or Interim DoD SECRET clearance.
  • Bachelor of Science in a computer science or related field.
  • Minimum of (3) three years of experience in software development with experience in the below areas: Understanding of queues and time complexity algorithms.
  • Docker/Containerization IDEs, preferably Visual Studio Code.
  • Proven experience in web development using HTML, CSS, Python, and Django.
  • Proven experience with Bash, or other UNIX based shells.
  • Experience Frontend & Backend design and development.
  • Experience with Git, SVN, or any version control software.
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • VMware/Virtualization technologies
  • Knowledge of RESTful web services and APIs.
  • Understanding of database systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, MariaDB)
  • Knowledge of Python modules such as Celery, Pandas, and NumPy.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell, PowerCLI.
