Software Engineer

About the position

As a Software Engineer on our Integrations team, you will play a key role in designing and supporting integration solutions for our modern SaaS platforms serving the healthcare staffing industry. Built on a cloud-native Microsoft tech stack, our products drive essential workforce operations for healthcare clients nationwide. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to build secure, scalable, and high-performing integrations that enhance user experience and data integrity across systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust integration solutions using C#/.NET, containerized services, and n8n workflow automation.
• Build and consume RESTful, GraphQL, and SOAP APIs with secure authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT).
• Design, orchestrate, and support end-to-end workflows in n8n, including retries, conditional logic, and data transformations.
• Create reusable and modular custom nodes to scale workflow automation capabilities.
• Integrate with external systems such as EHRs, payroll providers, and scheduling tools using webhooks, Azure Service Bus, and file-based transfers (SFTP/FTPS).
• Conduct automated testing (unit and integration), peer code reviews, and performance tuning.
• Ensure integrations meet non-functional standards including security, scalability, and uptime.
• Collaborate with Product and Account Managers to define SLAs, data mappings, and use cases.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation including Swagger/OpenAPI specs, runbooks, and integration patterns.

Requirements

• 3+ years professional experience building integrations or API-centric solutions in C#/.NET
• Hands-on experience with n8n or equivalent orchestration tools
• Proficiency in RESTful API design and implementation
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, especially when working with non-technical stakeholders

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Azure Integration Services (Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Knowledge of MS SQL Server and other database technologies (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning)
• Experience with automated testing tools for API validation
• Agile development experience with Git-based version control
