About The Position

You love the guts of a computer—the schedulers, allocators, and low‑level primitives that make an Operating System sing. Join us to shape the Windows Kernel so the right work happens at the right time, in the right way, in the Azure Cloud and across billions of across billions of Windows devices. On the Core Execution Management team, you will optimize how Windows orchestrates memory, compute, and power—designing policies and mechanisms that translate real‑world usage patterns into responsive, efficient, and reliable system behavior for personal computing, gaming, and server scenarios. As a Software Engineer II on the Core Execution Management team, you will design, implement, and strengthen foundational kernel and user‑mode components that govern resource and lifecycle management, as well as attribution and prioritization of resource usage. The role requires strong fundamentals in algorithms and data structures, the ability to write high‑quality C code that is robust, maintainable, and testable, and ownership of validation and diagnosability.
