Remote Engineering Manager - Senior
About The Position
In this role, you will lead large engineering teams and manage multiple projects to ensure that our data solutions align with the strategic goals of the organization. Your leadership and mentorship will be crucial in setting performance standards and fostering skill development among your team members. You will work collaboratively with both business stakeholders and senior leadership to ensure that our data strategy is effectively integrated into the companyâs objectives. The capability to operate largely independently while guiding a diverse engineering team will be key to your success in this position.
Requirements
- Mastery of object-oriented programming languages (preferably Java).
- 5-7 years of relevant work experience in software engineering.
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, data modeling, and ETL processes.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead large teams of data engineers to ensure project delivery and execution.
- Collaborate with product team members to create secure and scalable software solutions.
- Oversee the implementation of critical tooling and platforms with vendors and partners.
- Monitor and support production software applications.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to improve team performance.
