As a Software Engineering Manager Sr within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. Role Overview The Software Engineering Manager Sr provides senior engineering leadership across multiple Agile crews delivering enterprise Pega solutions. The role is accountable for Pega delivery execution, platform governance, engineering standards, and building strong internal Pega capability. Core Management Responsibilities (PNC ASM Standard) • Manage multiple development crews and complex Pega delivery initiatives across a major business segment • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for Pega engineers and technical leads • Ensure predictable delivery through effective planning, staffing, and dependency management • Partner with product, architecture, risk, and operations stakeholders to align Pega solutions to business goals • Ensure compliance with PNC enterprise risk management, security, and regulatory standards • Own Pega engineering quality, delivery metrics, and continuous improvement across teams • Drive adoption of standard SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices within the Pega platform PNC is an in-office company that fosters a supportive culture where employees can thrive and achieve balance. Oversee the talent management of engineering talent, including recruiting, mentoring, and enabling a culture of learning with a focus on engineering craftsmanship. Foster technological innovation, ensuring adoption of current trends, capabilities, and practices emerging in the market. Encourage sound technology choices are made and drive innovative technology architecture and solution design. Identify issues, share best practices, and drive continuous improvement.
