About The Position

The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Senior Advisor, which is a Band 4 Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. Responsibilities- Design and develop consolidated, conformed enterprise data warehouses and data lakes to store and manage critical business data, ensuring scalability, performance, and data integrity. Guide software engineering teams in architecture, design, and implementation. Lead or contribute to planning, estimation, and execution of software projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, QA, DevOps, etc.). Architect and implement methods, processes, tools, and analytical techniques to extract meaningful insights from large datasets stored in data warehouses or data marts, identifying relationships and patterns that support strategic initiatives. Participate in the delivery of enterprise-wide information environments that empower data-driven decision-making through advanced analytics and reporting capabilities. Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional development teams to design and implement new features and enhancements aligned with business goals. Develop modular, maintainable, and referenceable code for both new and existing functionalities, adhering to best practices in software engineering and agile methodologies. Partner with back-end developers and software architects to improve usability and performance, contributing to the design and architecture of robust software solutions. Conduct comprehensive testing of applications to ensure optimal user experience, functionality, and reliability across environments. Manage code deployment and testing within build environments, actively participating in release planning, execution, and post-release support. Drive innovation and continuous improvement in engineering processes. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies. Ensure software solutions meet compliance, security, and regulatory standards. Hybrid work schedule. The salary for this position is $189,592.00 per year and this role is eligible for standard company benefits. Qualifications- Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field and 2 years of software engineering or software development experience (or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field and 5 years of software engineering or software development experience). All qualifying experience must include: JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript for building scalable front-end applications; HTML5 and CSS3 including Flexbox, Grid, SASS, and LESS; developing responsive user interfaces using React.js including Hooks, Context API, and Component Lifecycle Management; State management tools such as Redux; RESTful API integration and handling asynchronous data with Axios and Fetch; Cross-browser compatibility and accessibility standards (WCAG); version control using Git, GitHub, and GitLab; working in Agile/Scrum environments including sprint planning and code reviews; UI testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress; CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools such as Jenkins and Github Actions; and component libraries such as Material UI. If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload. For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 130,200 - 217,000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
