About The Position

As a CVT Solution Qualification Engineering Leader, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless deployment of networking solutions for high-end Cisco Web and Service Provider customers. This role includes bringing up customer solutions in cisco lab, developing innovative test frameworks and web-based GUIs that leverage analytics and machine learning, as well as driving automated and manual test cases on validating the solution. Requirements

  • Bachelors in STEM with 12+ years of relevant experience or Masters in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience or PhD in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience testing or configuring the following L2/L3 networking protocols; BGP, MPLS and IGP (OSPF or ISIS)
  • Experience in networking automation and software quality assurance

Nice To Haves

  • Certificate in CCIE (Routing & Switching / Service Provider / Data Center).
  • Experience on platforms such as ASR9K, NCS5500, NCS5000, NCS540/NCS560, NCS6K, CRS, 8000.
  • Experience in OpenFlow, Netconf & REST API.
  • Experience in configuring/fixing protocols such as L2/L3 VPN, EVPN, Segment Routing, IPv6, MPLS-LDP/RSVP-TE, Multicast, SNMP, Telemetry, gNMI, gRPC, Netconf & OpenConfig Yang Models.

Responsibilities

  • Design, automate, configure, and qualify customer use cases based on IOS-XR for various platforms
  • Develop innovative test frameworks and tools to support the test execution environment
  • Drive test cases manually and through automation, managing defects and fixes
  • Seek continuous improvements in test coverage, execution, and automation
  • Reproduce customer issues in internal test labs and generate technical reports and whitepapers

  • Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members
  • Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer
  • For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco’s policies.
