About The Position

The Over Water Impact Location (OWIL) group is developing software to configure, command, monitor, and utilize sensors mounted on unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) to analyze the accuracy of DoD test weapons. Responsibilities for a Software Engineering intern include working with a small team to develop software modules that control commercial components to collect data. Other software analyzes the data to produce weapon accuracy “scores”. This opportunity provides experience of integrating software with hardware components for mission-focused work on DoD test events. This position will work onsite at our Princeton, NJ office

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field
  • Due to government contract requirements candidates must be a US Citizen
  • The ideal candidate should have software undergraduate experience and the desire to learn real-world implementation of software with hardware and data.
  • Experience with C++, C#, MS Visual Studio

Responsibilities

  • Work under the direction of experienced software developers to develop software modules which fit into the overall software architecture of the OWIL system.
