Job Description
Requirements:
Support fastâ??paced projects for the development of stateâ??ofâ??theâ??art systems and technology, focusing on GPS, navigation, and navigation security. Work with clients to develop and implement novel solutions to complex and openâ??ended problems. Work in smaller 3â??5 member teams and collaborate consistently across the 40+ member group and occasionally the entire organization. Develop software in prototype and production configurations and develop robust code for novel applications quickly. Communicate engineering tradeoffs in a clear, cogent manner and respond to adaptations necessary to accommodate engineering tradeoff considerations. Participate in design reviews. Develop software according to the project's coding standards.
Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience with software engineering for operational systems, including comprehending development life cycles
-Experience with developing software architecture and implementing the design
-Ability to work on high impact and high visibility projects as part of a small, dynamic team
-Top Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree in Software Engineering, EE, Computer Engineering, or CS
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience in developing with C# in Visual Studio or another objectâ??oriented programming language
-Experience in designing and interfacing with SQL databases, including MySQL
-Experience with unit testing
-Experience with prototyping and rapid development
-Knowledge of cryptographic and security algorithms
-Knowledge of the Air Force Global Positioning System
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
