ProSidian Seeks a Software QA Tester - Engineering Process Applications - Administrative/Business (Time and Materials | Non-Exempt) to support an engagement for a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRR]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy. This service supports Environmental Management Sector Clients and ProSidian Team Members (# FTe's: 1) work as part of a Engagement Team Cadre (Labor Category 14073) to fulfil T&M - Time and Materials (T&M) requirements. Software QA Tester - Engineering Process Applications - Administrative/Business Candidates shall work to support requirements for Technical General Support Services (GSSC) related to NAICS: 541690 - Environmental Consulting Services, NAICS: 541690 - Scientific and Technical Consulting Services - Energy, and NAICS: 591690 - Professional Scientific Technical Consulting Services and Analyze system requirements and identify testing strategies that maximize test coverage and/or improve system reliability and performance Collaborate with business analysts on testing options and strategies, including applicable regulatory requirements Design, set up, perform and document software tests, based on testing infrastructure, for highly complex software Review historical, existing and ongoing bug reports to identify areas needing specific attention Participate in the establishment of software quality standards for life cycle, documentation, development methods, testing and maintenance Identify, document and ensure resolution of software issues using Team Foundation Server. Requirements

  • The Software QA Tester - Engineering Process Applications - Administrative/Business shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years
  • Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.

  • The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.
  • requisite work experience and technical skills to fulfill the roles and responsibilities of the Software Qa Tester – Engineering Process Applications working and performing tasks in the Energy Industry (Oil and Gas / Power and Utilities / Nuclear Energy)
  • BS Degree in Computer Science with minimum of 2 years related experience
  • Associate’s Degree with minimum of 4 years practical experience
  • High School Diploma with minimum of 8 years practical experience
  • Working knowledge of QA methodology, testing techniques and approaches relating to desktop and web applications
  • Knowledge and experience with the Automated Testing Process and Tools
  • Proficient in writing software test strategies and test plans
  • Capable of working with the customer and project lead to identify test scenarios based on software requirements
  • Passion for problem solving
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner, including the ability to explain technical details to a non-technical person.
  • Highly organized, flexible, deadline driven and detail oriented
  • Basic knowledge of Web-based Application Development using ASP.NET, MVC, JavaScript, AJAX, and Web Services
  • Basic knowledge of network, application, and data security best practices
  • Familiarity with fundamentals of SQL database structure and queries.
  • A 40 hour work week schedule as anticipated for this position.

  • All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a “Facility Access Authorization” (also referred to as an “Employment Authorization”) by the USG’s designated Security Office.
  • Must be able to submit to and qualify for varying levels of background investigative requirements, up to a Top Secret or DOE "Q" clearance.
