The Apple Maps Client team is looking for a passionate and self-motivated Software Quality Engineer who will work closely with development and test engineering teams across Apple, ultimately bringing to bear Apple’s mapping technology suite. Responsibilities
- Work closely with developers and other test engineers to help test all Maps App features on iOS, macOS, watchOS, and visionOS.
- Produce test documents, execute and analyze data, conduct bug triaging, lead testing procedures, and ensure the success of new feature development.
- Partner with cross-functional development teams to ensure that the Maps organization ships the highest quality application possible.
- Quickly grasp and distill technical information to deliver clear, precise and detailed test documents and plans.
Requirements
- Obsession over the customer experience.
- Possess knowledge and real-world experience with software integrity and quality assurance concepts: test planning, test case definitions, test execution, and problem analysis.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills with an ability to identify, diagnose, regress and debug issues thoroughly.
- Experience leading execution of test cases.
- Reporting clear, concise, and actionable results/data to various technical and functional teams.
- Ability to define test strategies across platforms, technologies and devices.
- Documenting test cases for newly defined and legacy features.
- Self-driven attitude, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile and dynamic environment.
