All internship positions are designed to give college students an opportunity to apply techniques learned in an academic setting while obtaining new skills. This is a paid internship offering full-time hours during the summer months. All interns are required to conclude the program by giving a formal presentation on their work. Please note that no relocation assistance or sponsorship is provided for the internship program at this time. Position Summary: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Software Intern to support our Application Development team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about software quality and enjoys thinking critically about how applications should behave in real-world scenarios. The intern will play an active role in testing software applications to identify defects, edge cases, and usability gaps before products are released. The ideal candidate is local to the Minneapolis area , collaborates effectively with cross-functional team members, and demonstrates independence in designing and executing test strategies without relying solely on developer guidance. This role emphasizes strong analytical thinking, thorough documentation, and a quality-first mindset to ensure our applications are solid, functional, and reliable.

Requirements

  • Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a graduate-level degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Must be able to work full-time during the duration of the internship program
  • Pursuing Master's in Computer Science or Information Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
  • Create comprehensive test scenarios for new features, enhancements, and defect resolutions.
  • Writes clear and concise test cases aligned with feature requirements and objectives.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely task completion.
  • Build and enhance automated regression testing capabilities using current technologies.
  • Manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Committed to identifying issues early and ensuring exceptional product quality.
  • Apply strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve issues.
  • Promotes learning through open sharing of successes, challenges, and insights.
