About The Position

Allyn International is in search of a Software Support Intern to grow within our Trade Department in our Fort Myers, FL location. Allyn is a privately held professional services firm established in 1992. We provide high-quality, customer-centric services and solutions for the global marketplace. Our core products include transportation management, logistics sourcing, freight forwarding, supply chain consulting, tax management, and trade compliance operational support and consulting. What does a Software Support Intern do? The Software Support Intern will assist the Trade Compliance and IT teams in supporting CIMS (Allyn’s proprietary software). Some key parts will involve participating in regular data audits, help identify and resolve data discrepancies to ensure the highest level of accuracy for our clients and coordinate between internal teams and external suppliers to keep project workflows moving smoothly. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled or pursuing a Bachelor’s or equivalent college degree
  • Excel experience preferred
  • Data manipulation and data analysis skills
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access (advanced skills)
  • Manage independently client IT related projects
  • Critical Thinking Skills
  • Ability of managing multiple tasks and project at once
  • Excellent prioritization management
  • Data Mapping Skills

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the administrative setup and modification of user accounts within the CIMS platform to ensure secure and appropriate access for internal teams and external clients.
  • Set up new users with access to the system and adjust user access when needed.
  • Serving as an initial point of contact for system issues, helping to organize and prioritize incoming requests to optimize the overall team workload.
  • Updating Project Trackers.
  • Attend Weekly development status meetings and take notes.
  • Support Maintenance for our in-house software system.
  • Managing daily communications via the CIMS Help channels (emails, calls, internal teams messages), providing timely responses to user inquiries and troubleshooting basic system issues.
  • Perform several Data Audits included but not limited to Data Mapping Audits, User Credential Audits, Collected Data Audits, etc.
  • Collaborating with the team to implement and monitor system stress tests.
  • Assist with standardizing and documenting Allyn systems (mapping, fields, reports, etc.).
  • Support with the coordination of priorities and urgency levels are understood with the IT development team to ensure projects are completed on time.
  • Feature Testing.
  • Support other projects and tasks as needed upon request from the Digital Strategist Lead and Global Trade Director.
  • Exhibit Allyn core values.
  • Participate in writing detailed monthly release notes.
