Software Sustainment Engineer

About the position

The Software Sustainment Engineer is responsible for software development and addressing current and emerging needs for existing and new applications.

Responsibilities

• Utilize domain knowledge and hands-on experience to develop and implement software programs.
• Create, maintain, and improve the performance of existing software code.
• Write and update software code and databases.
• Test and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
• Write test scripts to use in test-driven development and agile software development environment.
• Build automated procedures, in addition to functional code, to ensure continuous integration and continuous delivery of software.
• Solve software development and engineering problems and recommend improvements to existing software programs.
• Work effectively with peers and with limited supervision.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant professional development experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent degree.

Nice-to-haves

• Elevator control software experience is highly desirable.
• Rhapsody development environmental knowledge is desirable.
