About The Position

S2i2 is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to support mission-critical systems supporting large-scale networks, advanced operating environments, and high-impact government programs. The position involves hands-on design, development, and optimization of sophisticated software and operating system solutions using cutting-edge tools across networking, cloud, virtualization, and Linux/Unix platforms. Requirements

Five (5) years relevant experience
Must have extensive knowledge in networking/network management, network management tools, virtualization, Linux/Unix, and/or application performance monitoring.
Security Clearance required: Secret, or TS/Top-Secret
8570/8140: DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II
Must possess one of the following): LoadRunner (C&A, VuGen, Vuser), Netscout (NGOne-EE, NGONEAdmin, nGONE-TCP), RHCE, RHSA, AWS, MC:Azure, Cisco (CCNA, CCNP, CIE), OpenText.

Responsibilities

Formulates/defines specifications for complex operating software programming applications or modifies/maintains complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from the manufacturer.
Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents those programs.
Provides overall operating system maintenance, such as sophisticated file maintenance routines, large telecommunications networks, computer accounting, and advanced mathematical/scientific software packages.
Assists in all phases of software systems programming applications.
Evaluates new and existing software products.
