About The Position

We are seeking a Software Test Engineer to join our Operations and Accounting Technology team. This team builds and supports applications that are critical to the firm’s post-trade workflows, financial reporting, and operational processes. You will work closely with developers, testers, and business stakeholders to ensure the quality and reliability of a diverse set of applications. You’ll be responsible for both manual and automated testing across a range of systems and integrations, as well as owning and executing frequent production releases in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. In this role, you will: Design and execute test plans and test cases for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes Perform a combination of manual and automated testing across multiple applications and environments Develop and maintain automated test scripts and tools (primarily using C#) Configure and manage test environments and test data Identify, document, and track defects; partner with developers to drive timely resolution Support integration, regression, and production verification testing Own and execute production releases, including coordination, validation, and post-release verification Troubleshoot issues across environments, including production, to identify root causes and improve test coverage Collaborate closely with developers and fellow testers throughout the SDLC Communicate test status, risks, release readiness, and priorities clearly to both technical and business stakeholders Adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage multiple parallel workstreams What Sets this Role Apart: Direct ownership of production releases for critical operational systems High-impact systems supporting financial and operational processes Fast-paced environment requiring adaptability and strong prioritization Collaborative team culture with close interaction between testers, developers, and business users Opportunity to build both technical depth (automation) and operational ownership

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in software testing (manual + automated)
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and understand how they support operational and accounting workflows
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team of testers and developers
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with: Test planning and execution across complex systems Automated testing using C# or similar object-oriented languages SQL for data validation, querying, and troubleshooting Debugging, log analysis, and issue triage Production releases, deployment processes, or release coordination
