  • Using in-house developed tools to deploy software updates to customer virtualization solutions.
  • Regularly reviewing security logs and responding to alerts.
  • Performing security scans of customer solutions.
  • Preparation and delivery of software updates across all customer platforms.
  • Identifying and resolving update failures and escalating to the SDS support team where required.
  • Tracking all issues and ensuring all failure information is captured for reporting and trend analysis.
  • Maintaining detailed records of software updates.
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation on the software update process.
  • Owning and reporting back software update success to key stakeholders.
  • Regular customer platform(s) security scanning in accordance with PCI Compliance.
  • Performing PCI Compliance tasks (weekly/monthly/quarterly).
  • Raising product defects/enhancements identified during software update and PCI Compliance tasks.
  • Ensuring software update and PCI related documentation is kept up to date.
  • 2 years' experience with supporting and maintaining Linux operating systems.
  • Experience of remotely deploying software updates.
  • Experience of maintaining and supporting automated processes for the delivery of software updates/patches/hotfixes to both Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Ability to understand and read Python and BASH scripting languages.
  • Experience of virtualization technologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with proven trouble-solving ability.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and apply new technology.
  • Awareness of compliance and regulatory processes (PCI-DSS preferable).
