The Role Solutions Engineers work in tandem with sales representatives and partners to sell BeyondTrust’s products, services, and solutions The SE is essentially the hands-on expert with the BeyondTrust suite of products used by the most trusted enterprises in the world. Our SEs partner with sellers to uncover the needs of our prospects and customers - delivering compelling demos, managing POCs, assisting with technical RFP responses, and ultimately winning deals. You will also have the pleasure of interacting with many of our 20K+ very satisfied customers who stop by at trade shows to see what’s new and say how awesome BeyondTrust is! A killer SE is really a sales rep wrapped in an Engineer's clothes. Another way that I like to look at it is that the rep is navigating how to secure the money (where is the budget and how does it get approved), while the SE focuses on winning the technical buy (demonstrate that his / her solution is the best for the buyer).

Requirements

  • You should have had at least 5 years of working within an enterprise network as a systems administrator or engineer. This should be a “typical” Active Directory based network with a mix of different corporate systems. Any working knowledge of Linux and Azure Active Directory is desirable
  • You have prior experience demonstrating products and conducting Proof-of-Concepts across different platforms
  • You will be experienced and comfortable in delivering presentations to audiences of varying sizes, using your polished presentations skills
  • Any prior experience presenting at conferences or trade shows is a plus

Nice To Haves

  • It is desirable if you have previous experience working as a presales engineer, where you have been able to highlight product differentiators against competitive products
  • Any experience with BeyondTrust products (Privilege Management for Desktops, Privilege Management for Unix and Linux, Password Safe, AD Bridge, Remote Support, Privileged Remote Access) is also a plus
  • Any security certifications you may have, particularly if they are industry recognized (such as CISSP, OSCP, CEH etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Definition of the Market, by providing input and insight into Product Marketing
  • Assist with Marketing Campaigns (Mailing Lists, Callouts, etc.).
  • Provide input to validate product messaging is correct
  • Proactively establish relationships with channel partners.
  • Understand how partners expect you to support them, so you can do so effectively
  • Marketing Events and Webinars – creation and delivery of a 15m-45min presentation/thought leadership seminar
  • Lead Qualification - Validate technical environment, understand business problems
  • Participate in RFP/RFI responses
  • Discovery and Opportunity Engagement - help with qualifying questions, background research and understanding the business
  • Deliver information about the business value of using BeyondTrust solutions
  • Demonstrate that the BeyondTrust solution delivers on the value proposition
  • Help develop a written proposal that can be used alongside a financial proposal for a prospect
  • Secure the technical win of an opportunity
