About The Position

Herald builds digital infrastructure for commercial insurance. Today we provide developers a single API to get quotes for insurance products from multiple carriers. Tomorrow we want to build anything that helps developers connect their applications to the insurance ecosystem. We think buying insurance should be as easy as buying anything else online and we want your help! We’re a team of insurtech veterans with experience at At-Bay, Kin, and Insurify. We’ve raised our Series A funding from top-tier VCs (Lightspeed, Brewer Lane, Afore, Underscore) along with a panel of insurtech founders (At-Bay, Marble), insurance executives (CRC), and early employees of other successful API infrastructure companies (Plaid, Alloy, Stytch). We’re seeking a Solutions Consultant who can lead customer implementations, accelerate adoption of Herald’s API and AI-driven capabilities, and guide customers as they transform their workflows with our evolving product suite. As we enter a new frontier of AI-powered insurance infrastructure, you'll play a critical role in defining how we engage customers, structure projects, and deliver value. You’ll operate at the intersection of technical consulting, AI workflow design, and strategic customer expansion—helping customers embed Herald’s components into their platforms, redesign key processes, and scale usage across brokers and business units. Because our product is rapidly expanding into new territory, you’ll also bring customer insights back to product and engineering teams, shaping what we build next and influencing the direction of our offerings. In this highly collaborative, high-ownership role, you’ll run discovery, identify opportunities, and craft creative, impactful solutions that make Herald deeply integrated into customer operations. This role is ideal for someone who is technically curious, consultative, entrepreneurial, and energized by ambiguity, fast-changing product surfaces, and the chance to help write the playbook—not just follow one.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a client-facing or strategic role (Solutions Consulting, Customer Success, Product Management, or Consulting). Experience in insurtech, fintech, AI products, or workflow software is a plus.
  • Experience delivering technical integrations (APIs, data pipelines, workflow tools, or automated systems).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate across technical, operational, and executive stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to drive product adoption, influence user behavior, and redesign workflows to achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Comfortable working with enterprise brokers or complex customer environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts.
  • A self-starter who brings structure to ambiguity, moves quickly, and takes ownership end-to-end.
  • A strategic, systems-level thinker who can zoom between high-level workflow design and hands-on project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end implementation of Herald’s AI components, APIs, and workflow integrations.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and customer teams to define technical requirements and ensure successful deployment.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact, guiding customer teams through scoping, build, testing, and go-live.
  • Manage timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure smooth, high-quality implementations.
  • Proactively identify risks, workflow gaps, and edge cases to maintain implementation quality and momentum.
  • Drive post-launch activation by engaging brokers and internal champions, ensuring Herald’s AI capabilities create real operational lift.
  • Dig into adoption metrics, uncover friction points, and take ownership of crafting and executing creative solutions to improve usage.
  • Partner closely with customers to embed Herald into their day-to-day operations—whether inbox-driven, platform-driven, or a hybrid—doing whatever it takes to ensure workflows succeed in practice.
  • Identify opportunities to expand Herald’s footprint by finding new use cases, workflows, and teams where our AI can deliver meaningful value.
  • Lead structured discovery to understand customer operations, challenges, and business goals.
  • Identify opportunities to plug Herald AI components into customer workflows.
  • Provide strategic, prescriptive guidance—challenging assumptions when needed—to help customers achieve better outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships across technical and non-technical stakeholders and guide adoption through insight.
  • Define how Herald engages, executes, and scales customer projects as we enter new territory with our AI-driven product offerings.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering to translate customer insights into platform direction and emerging AI capabilities.
  • Build the operational foundations and delivery models required as Herald evolves from individual components to a cohesive, turn-key platform.
  • Codify learnings into clear implementation frameworks, activation playbooks, and workflow best practices.
  • Create repeatable yet flexible processes that support varied customer use cases across enterprise brokers and digital distributors.
  • Lead by example in bringing structure to ambiguity and establishing new standards for how we deliver value.
