About The Position

At Enchanted Rock, our backup generators ensure that customers will never be without power, allowing their business to operate normally when there is an outage in the area. We seek those who share our commitment to customer service, innovation, and ingenuity. We are actively recruiting candidates to participate in our 2026 Summer Internship program. This program is roughly 12 weeks in length and will immerse you into the culture and operations of Enchanted Rock.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, power engineering, mechanical engineering, or engineering technology
  • Have completed at least sophomore-level coursework (junior/senior preferred)
  • Are curious, detail-oriented, and willing to ask questions
  • Enjoy solving problems and learning how things work
  • Are comfortable working in a professional office environment

Nice To Haves

  • Introductory knowledge of power systems
  • Exposure to AutoCAD, MS Office, or similar tools
  • Internship, co-op, or project experience

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the design of microgrid and power system concepts for customer proposals
  • Assisting with electrical system layouts, block diagrams, and single-line diagrams
  • Learning how engineers size equipment and evaluate system reliability and availability
  • Helping prepare technical content for proposals and presentations
  • Participating in conceptual design discussions with engineers, sales teams, and project teams
  • Shadowing engineers during design reviews and internal presentations
  • Making updates to drawings, spreadsheets, and models based on feedback
