About The Position

You’ll play a key role as a Solutions Specialist, representing 45Drives as a trusted expert for our customers. This is a technical role with a human focus—perfect for someone who loves solving complex problems while building authentic relationships. Here’s what you’ll be doing: Responding to customer requests and issues via our service ticket system. • Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues with clarity and confidence. • Using Linux commands and ZFS to configure and support custom storage systems. • Working with customers to deeply understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions. • Documenting solutions and create resources to help others. • Handling networking challenges like bonding, subnetting, and routing. • Ensuring system integrity and data security through proactive problem-solving. • Collaborating with teammates to continuously improve service and support.

Requirements

  • Completion of an IT-related post-secondary program OR relevant work experience in system administration, networking, or technical support.
  • Entry-level to experienced candidates welcome—we value passion and attitude.
  • Proficiency with Linux (especially command line usage).
  • Experience or familiarity with ZFS or other filesystems.
  • Basic understanding of networking principles (e.g., bonding, subnetting, routing).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to think critically, troubleshoot, and problem-solve in real time.
  • A customer-first mindset with a knack for teaching and supporting others.

Nice To Haves

  • A valid passport is preferred, as occasional travel to customer sites or our headquarters in Canada may be required.
