As a Sonographer, you will: Perform Imaging Procedures: Conduct ultrasound procedures independently, using your judgment and initiative. Assist with Invasive Procedures: Support physicians during invasive procedures, adhering to universal protocol standards. Manage Exam Documentation: Ensure exams are properly coded, tracked, networked for archiving and interpretation, and charges are accurately entered. High-Level Disinfection: Handle disinfection of devices, supplies, and equipment as needed. Communicate Effectively: Clearly explain procedures to patients, easing their fears and gaining their cooperation. Patient Identification: Use two patient identifiers and follow universal protocol for accurate patient identification. Review and Document Patient History: Assess physician orders, apply departmental protocols, and document patient history in electronic records. Interact with Care Team: Collaborate with patients and co-workers, demonstrating care, respect, and teamwork. Optimize Imaging Techniques: Utilize ultrasound instrumentation effectively to obtain high-quality images and data.
