About The Position

DEFINITION: Under the direction of the Director of Medical Imaging, the Sonographer shall be responsible for performing all types of general ultrasound procedures, echocardiograms, and non-invasive procedures utilizing independent judgement and initiative as prescribed by Physicians under the direction of a Radiologist and/or Physician reading the study. Demonstrates wise use of time, energy, and resources to function within the confines of the approved budget for the Radiology Department. Performs all work according to the mission, vision, and values of McBride Hospital. This is a safety sensitive position.

Requirements

• Current ARDMS or registry eligible and pass registry within 18 months of date of hire
• must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.

Nice To Haves

• Documented competency in echo and non-invasive vascular imaging.
• One year of experience preferred.
