Today Toledo Tool & Die has four facilities in the Toledo area and one in Pioneer, Ohio. Toledo Tool & Die is adding a Sort Team Lead to our team to support our continued growth. Hours for this position are typically: Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends & some holidays) WHAT TOLEDO TOOL & DIE CAN OFFER YOU: Starting pay of $19.00/hour

Requirements

  • Meets all requirements of a Sort Operator (attention to detail, measurement skills, ability to follow instructions).
  • Previous experience in inspection, quality control, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide others.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple assignments.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and accountability for results.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties of a Sort Operator, including inspecting, sorting, and reworking parts as needed.
  • Lead and coordinate daily activities of the sort team to meet production and quality goals.
  • Assign work tasks, monitor progress, and adjust as needed to maintain efficiency.
  • Train and mentor new and existing sort operators on inspection techniques, quality standards, and proper use of tools.
  • Ensure inspection records, reports, and documentation are accurate and completed on time.
  • Act as the primary contact for supervisors and quality/production teams regarding sort activities and results.
  • Identify recurring issues, communicate trends, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support and enforce company safety policies, ensuring team members work in a safe and organized environment.
  • Provide feedback to team members and assist with performance improvement when necessary.
  • Maintain proper use and care of inspection tools, equipment, and workstations.
