About The Position

Responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the facility’s conveyor
sorter system by identifying and resolving operational issues that may impact
performance. This role plays a critical part in maintaining sorter uptime to
support overall distribution center productivity and operational efficiency.
Requires strong computer skills, mechanical aptitude, and a sense of urgency
when responding to system interruptions. Effective communication and
problem-solving skills are essential to success in this high-visibility
position.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive and productive attitude.
• Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work independently.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and computer proficiency.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Demonstrates reliability with a strong attendance record.
• Positive attitude and commitment to supporting company goals.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Requires continuous awareness and attention in an active warehouse environment.

Nice To Haves

• Prior warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor sorter operations to ensure the system is functioning properly and running consistently to avoid negative impact to warehouse operations.
• Clear product jams and stalls to maintain the smooth and continuous flow of merchandise throughout the facility.
• Troubleshoot operational issues related to sorter performance and coordinate with Maintenance when necessary to resolve problems.
• Notify Supervisors and MIS of extended sorter shutdowns or other operational concerns that may impact facility productivity.
• Maintain department safety and housekeeping standards, ensuring a clean and organized work area.
• Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in other production areas as needed based on workload demands.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the area Supervisor or Manager.
