This onsite role, based at the ITW headquarters in the Chicago suburbs, contributes to the development of enterprise‑wide sourcing strategies for critical cross‑segment chemical categories and defines actionable steps that deliver value to the business. This role is an excellent career development opportunity for individuals with a science or engineering background who are interested in building skills in market research, sourcing strategy, and business analysis. The analyst will conduct broad market research and engage with the supply base, ranging from world‑class manufacturers to channel partners, across a variety of chemical commodities and derivatives. Responsibilities include assessing market price drivers and trends to support business sourcing priorities and participating in category strategy development. Additional responsibilities include conducting risk mitigation assessments, performing cost modeling, supporting contract negotiations, and contributing to sustainability and supplier diversity efforts. Knowledge or experience in chemicals, chemical engineering, materials science & engineering, or polymer science will benefit the individual in this role.
